Information collection and privacy protection

Professional Services Review is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). The following privacy fact sheet provides the text of the 13 APPs from Schedule 1 of the Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012, which amends the Privacy Act 1988.  

Professional Services Review makes every effort, where applicable, to comply with the guidelines for Federal and ACT Government websites, developed by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. This page explains the type of information that is collected by Professional Services Review, how that information is used and under what circumstances, and to whom it may be disclosed.
 

APP Privacy Policy

PSR’s APP privacy policy (required by APP 1.3) can be accessed at PSR’s APP privacy policy web page. The APP privacy policy explains how the agency deals with personal information generally, including its collection, storage, security, access, use and disclosure.
 

Privacy Impact Assessments

PSR conducts a Privacy Impact Assessment for all high privacy risk projects. This complies with the requirements of the Privacy (Australian Government Agencies – Governance) APP Code 2017 (Cth) (the APP Code). We maintain a register (below) that lists the titles of Privacy Impact Assessments we have completed since 1 July 2018.

Professional Services Review will only record your email address in the event that you send us a message by email. No attempt will be made to identify anonymous users or their browsing activities unless legally compelled to do so, such as in the event of an investigation, where a law enforcement agency may exercise a warrant to inspect the Internet Service Provider's log files.

While Professional Services Review endeavours to make this site secure, users should be aware that the World Wide Web is an insecure network that may be at risk of transactions being viewed, intercepted or modified by third parties.
